about
"My city is grieving, and it’s not the only one. The poisonous drug epidemic has stolen countless lives and left holes in the hearts of almost every person I know. I’ve watched a mother lose her daughter; an unfathomable pain. I’ve lost beautiful people closest to me.
I petition for safe supply and the de-stigmatization of drug use. This is not limited to a back-alley issue. There are stabilized users all around us and they are in danger.
My utmost love and support to the efforts of individuals and organizations who are taking action and advocating awareness, while navigating continuous grief. If you need support and/or want to be part of changing this devastating and unnecessary paradigm, there are places to connect.
The getting good hasn’t been the same since you’ve come to town
Long nights and lazy days, they’ve packed up and run
They’re screening down the alley ways
Nobody’s safe, not even you
You hit hard and heavy, just enough
To warrant your weaponry in the forces of crime
You weed out the weak ones in the hardest of years
Nobody’s safe, not even you
Look hey how it’s come to this, fearing all consequence
Now lending my heart to be holding these mothers three
Four thousand a year of more with nothing worth fighting for
I’m sending it out to the sea
It looks like fun when you rough house around
Looks like more fun than what you know at home
You float like a butterfly and fall like a crown
Nobody’s safe, not even you
Oh how I miss you and I’m amazed to be alive
All the chances I’ve taken Mama I’m so sorry
I’d like to say I know better but what’s better tell me what’s better when
Nobody’s safe, not even you
Not even you
Look hey how it’s come to this, fearing all consequence
Now lending my heart to be holding these mothers three
Four thousand a year of more with nothing worth fighting for
I’m sending it out to the sea.
The getting good ain’t been the same
Since you’ve come to town
Long nights and lazy days, packed up and run
They’re screening the alley ways
Nobody’s safe not even you
